REJOINDER – Nurses robbed in a Ghanaian Hospital

Ridge Hospital In Ghana faces security Threats ; Nurses robbed

With reference to the above publication dated March, 26th,
there was a typographical error in paragraph 3
” … We were all female nurses on night duty, we saw the robber trying to pull a knife when we attempted to confront him…” she said.

The right publication reads “…We were all female nurses on night duty, I saw the robber trying to pull a knife-like object from his pocket when we attempted to confront him…” she said.

The Hospital Medical Director, Dr Thomas Anaba clarified that the robber did not try to pull any object from the pocket, hence was not armed robbery but robbery.

The publication still holds that there is security threat at Ridge Hospital so far as items of staffs were stolen without the awareness of the security personnel.
Even the entry of the unknown identity to the facility’s theatre recovery is a threat to the staffs and the innocent patients.

Our source reveals that a memo has been given to the procurement officer to purchase the phones for the nurses with the exception of the jewellery, as hospital management is still deliberating on how to resolve the security issues affecting the hospital.
