Lead Nurse Africa (LNA) will be carrying out community health project ( #SLUMNURSE) in two Lagos communities from 28th to 30th July 2016. The communities are Aboru in Alimosho Local Governement Area and Ikorodu. The project will be covered in a video documentary which will feature public health challenges in Africa and LNA action plan. As the best advocates for the vulnerable population, LNA is leading the call for nurses to become the front line innovators and leaders in effective public health initiatives.
We hereby call on nurses who are willing to share in the experience to participate in these project as volunteers. The project will be funded by LNA, as a result, there is no financial benefit for the volunteers. However, volunteers to these project will automatically become part of LNA plan for future projects that will be funded by other organizations. Furthermore, it will also add to your public health experience and gives you access to network of nurses that shares similar vision and passion. The director of Nursing service Lagos State, Mrs Dorcas Shonibare is part of these project , especially the one at ikorodu. We invite you to be part of the experience and also have the opportunity to appear in our video documentary which will be shot by a professional that shoots video for CNN.
