Nigeria Men In Nursing Assembly: Creating Global Network and Fighting Gender Stereotype in Nursing

Nigerian Nursing community is set to inaugurate Men in Nursing Assembly on 29th November to 2nd December 2017, in Abuja. The conference will be graced by dignitaries from American Association for men in Nursing. Dr Brent MacWilliams will deliver a speech during the occasion.

The major objectives of this assembly are to fight gender stereotype and to create global network that will facilitate sharing of knowledge, opportunities and resources between the Nigerian Nurses and their American counterparts.

The future workforce must live beyond the unprofessional and negative sentiment that portrays nursing as a “female profession”. Such sentiment has inspired policies and actions that are detrimental to the healthcare industry directly and indirectly.

The organizers of this conference invites “all nurses” to share the experience and opportunities in these collaboration. The conference will also feature sessions on Leadership development, health performance financing etc.
